I'm Ada, and I write fanfiction: smutty, breathless, realism-eschewing stories featuring an Ideal of Lust that's enough to build a romance on—a marriage on—a life on.

My stories star Jiang Cheng, aka Jiang Wanyin, a character from Chinese danmei author Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's worldwide phenomenon of a second novel, Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. The novel has been translated into numerous languages as well as given rise to numerous adaptations; one among them is the 2019 Chinese live-action drama The Untamed. Fun fact: my heart has not been my own, it has belonged to Jiang Cheng, ever since I watched the show in the spring of 2022.

That was the same year, in November, that I started writing fanfic.

These two things are not unrelated.

Yup: a fictional character inspired me to commit fiction. Gay erotic fiction, at that.
